3 Best Colorado Road Trips
Colorado is home to many unique national parks, making it the perfect place to plan a road trip to. Our team at Courtesy Acura came up with three of our favorite places in Colorado to drive to from Centennial for those who are looking for adventure.
1 Mesa Verde National Park
Mesa Verde National Park, an archaeological site, is a great place to learn about the nation’s history. Go on the 700 Years tour and see homes that date back to 600 A.D. The city of Durango, ranked one of the “Best Towns” in 2016 by Outside Magazine, and Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve are both great stops along the way.
2 Rocky Mountain National State Park
Make the Rocky Mountain National State Park your next road trip destination and enjoy various outdoor activities, including walking scenic hiking trails, visiting the various waterfalls, and watching the wildlife. On the way there, stop at Eldorado Canyon State Park to see the breathtaking cliffs and nature that surrounds you.
3 Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park
Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park has many options for hiking, rafting, kayaking, biking, and rock climbing. Whether you take on the easy trails or the more difficult hikes, you are sure to be in awe of the beautiful, narrow canyons and cliffs. While you are on your way to this national park, stop and relax at Glenwood Springs, a resort located in the Rocky Mountains that is famous for its hot springs.
