Sport Hybrid 3-Motor in Acura NSX

The Sport Hybrid 3-Motor System optimized low-end torque for enhanced acceleration, boosts fuel efficiency, and sharpens handling on the following Acura models:

  • NSX: The engine and electric motor power the rear wheels, with twin electric motors operating front wheels to aid in more advanced acceleration, steering, and braking.
  • RLX Sport Hybrid: Uses a 377-hp, 3.5L engine and electric motor to power the front wheels, while the twin electric motors operate the rear wheels.
  • MDX Sport Hybrid: Uses a 257-hp, 3.0-liter V-6 engine. The 47 hp electric motor, located in the transmission housing, helps the engine power the front wheels. There are two more side-by-side motors mounted between the rear wheels.
